It’s hard to believe but our main building at Wookey Hole was once one of the most important paper-making mills in Europe.
You can learn all about this on your visit to our Museum. You might even catch a paper-making demonstration.
Nowadays, the Wookey Hole Mill buildings are home to lots of fun and adventure… there’s so much to explore!

Huge soft play
With a huge soft play spread out across the top floor, we’ll help you wear out the kids while you enjoy a much deserved sit down.
The soft play is suitable for kids aged 3-10, with a different section for 3-5 year olds.
The kids can slide, climb, crawl and swing, just like real cavers who adventure through Wookey Hole.

Circus shows
At weekends and during the Somerset school holidays, the fabulous Wookey Hole Circus performs incredible circus shows in the Wookey Hole Theatre. Prepare to be dazzled by these super-talented performers.
The shows are changed three times a year so there is always a new show to enjoy.
The circus show is included in your ticket.
Please note there are no performances in January and February (until half term) or Glastonbury Festival Weekend in June.
Wookey Hole Theatre
The fabulous 400-seater Theatre is the beating heart of the Mill.
The Theatre is home to the Circus but is also used for dance shows, Magic and illusion, boxing, and comedy.
