IN
BRITAIN'S TRIUMPHANT OLYMPIC YEAR THERE'S ONE MORE PRIZE WORTH WINNING!
THE
BIG EAT 2008
(chomp! chomp! chomp! chomp!)
Tuesday November 18th at 12
noon
(GULP...) Don't 12 months go quickly when
you've got RAGING INDIGESTION ? Yes, it's that time of the year
again, the season when ravenous hordes descend on the bastion of
good taste and perfect table manners known as WOOKEY HOLE and try
to break the British record for STUFFING THEIR CAKEHOLES with mince
pies.
And
this year that could mean YOU!
WANTED: 50 HUNGRY BRITS
SONYA THOMAS did it last year, snatching
the £1000 PRIZE from worthy British participants (we wuz robbed!)
so this year Wookey Hole is issuing a challenge to all the best
competitive eaters in the UK to head for Wookey Hole on Tuesday
November 18th at 12 noon and
COME AND WIN FOR BRITAIN
After all - what do Americans know about
eating?
How can the country which invented a snack
named after dog poo and the World's weakest-ever mustard be taken
seriously in the world of haute cuisine?
How can a hamburger be compared with a lovingly-crafted
English mince pie?
And what's on offer for the winner? Not just
£1000, no:
this year's BIG EAT winner will get a
chance to fly to the United States, land of pecan pie, grits and
Root Beer (all of which are disgusting) and take part in one of
the biggest speed eating events of the winter.
It might be blancmange, oysters, baked beans
or burgers. It could be ANYTHING!
Here's what you do. Go to the ENTRY
FORM, leave your name, address, email address and a telephone
contact number, preferably one which WORKS. And we look forward
to seeing you at Wookey Hole on November 18th
